All businesses use trademarks to distinguish themselves from their competitors. But trademarks are not just limited to business or product names. Many companies have products with unique logos or graphics that serve as important source identifiers. Some companies also have product designs and packaging that can function as trademarks. Indeed, even unique colors or color combinations can sometimes be used to protect against consumer confusion. This seminar will supply general information about trademark laws applicable to these businesses, and will advise on unique ways trademark law can be used to supply a commercial edge. The presenter will also explain the steps that business owners and entrepreneurs can follow to secure and take advantage of valuable trademark rights.
