  • EVM/ Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Rubber, a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate (VA), is a heat and oil resistant elastomer with Mooney viscosities from 20 to 60 and vinyl acetate contents from 40 to 90%. EVM elastomers are categorized as EE materials (ASTM D-2000) possessing excellent heat (up to 175°C), ozone, weathering and oil resistance, the latter depending on the vinyl acetate content. It is used in specialty automotive, industrial, and cable applications. This paper presents new EVM elastomers with improved processability and low temperature flexibility.
