Rubber is a material that finds use in everyday consumer products from tires in cars to erasers on pencils. The properties of the rubber raw materials and the finished products play a highly significant role in their intended end-use and safety during the product life cycle. Hence, the properties of rubber must satisfy the thermal, mechanical and rheological requirements of their end-use application. This study involves the experimental characterization of the thermal, mechanical and rheological properties of various rubber materials and how these properties are related to processing conditions and end use application.
