  • HNBR is prepared by the selective hydrogenation of carbon-carbon un-saturation of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and is classified as a high performance specialty elastomer with excellent resistance to heat, ozone, aggressive fluids and oils. HNBR also displays excellent tear, abrasion, dynamic, and sealing properties at elevated service temperatures. Given its exceptional performance qualities, its compounds can be used in the automobile industry (e.g. timing belts, hoses, seals and gaskets), in the oil industry (e.g. stator pumps, packing seals and blowout preventers) as well as in other industries for applications such as specialty cable coverings and laminated rollers.
